I’m Shelley Hamer-Jackson of Oakwyn Realty in North Vancouver. I work with folks like you who want to find their next home–whether it’s forever or just for now.
The North Shore is my home; I grew up here, and so did my parents and grand-parents. You could say real estate is in our blood. Way back in the 1940s, my grandparents Vi and Roy started Hamer-Jackson Realty between 13th and 14th on Lonsdale Ave.
From there, my Uncle Jack, my Dad, Ron (in the business for 46 years), and my Uncle Maurice all joined in succession, making it the start of a true family business. These days, the family real estate crew consists of my dad, Ron, my brother, Steve, my step-father, numerous cousins and even some second cousins, based in BC from North Vancouver to Kamloops, Kelowna and Osoyoos.
My previous career has given me valuable skills that I use in this business. I have worked in branding, sales and marketing management, on the agency and client sides, and in industries ranging from management consultancy, visual branding and most recently, wine. I travelled the world and then lived and worked in London, England and Sydney, Australia for 12 years in the ’90s and ‘00s. Both cities are amazing, but moving home gave me a deep appreciation for what was right under my nose: a vibrant city, friendly communities and glorious natural beauty.
Today I work with my dad, Ron, and together we run the HJ Real Estate Team. Our offices are based in Edgemont Village and our specialty is the North Shore–though we’ll go where the clients take us and have experience all across Vancouver.
If you’re looking for a realtor with your best interests at heart, who knows her turf and will work hard and smart for you, then I’d love to help you find your new home.
